Sunday Quote – Born Identity

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. – Romans 12:2 (NLT)

Who are you?

Every human being was born into this world for a purpose, a God given purpose for each and everyone of us. It’s just sad that some people don’t live their life to fulfill purpose but to pursue the cares of the world.

As believers, our purpose on earth is to seek and serve God and to preach the gospel to the nations. Just as it was written in the bible, when we seek God first, everything, not some things, everything will be added unto us. It’s okay to desire fancy clothes, shoes and oddities. In fact, the fact that we can even desire it makes us know it’s available and it exercises our faith. One thing to know is that, let your desire to seek God and do his will be deeper and stronger than any other desire.

You’re in this world but you’re not a citizen. That’s why the world hates you so much, but enjoy it because where you’re a citizen of is waaaayyyyy more enjoyable and pleasant than this world.

But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. – Philippians 3:20 (NLT)

That is your born identity.

Let’s do something. This week represent Heaven, where you know you hold citizenship. Talk to God, Do what is good. Do what is pleasant. Notice the change. Enjoy the change.

Have a blessed week!
