33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. – Mathew 6:33 (KJV)

Look out for the best so you don’t get the worst.

Look out for the things that matter and mean the most and every other thing will fall in place. It’s like looking to pass an exam with distinctions, one key step is to study. That’s the only way. No one would have to force you to study, because you want an excellent score the drive to study will be there, you will study and in the end you will get that distinction.

That’s how it is with the things of God. Don’t worry about what will happen to/for you. If at all you have to worry, worry about making the kingdom of God your number one priority.

As for living life…

“Do not ask your children
to strive for extraordinary lives.
Such striving may seem admirable,
but it is the way of foolishness.
Help them instead to find the wonder
and the marvel of an ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting
tomatoes, apples and pears.
Show them how to cry
when pets and people die.
Show them the infinite pleasure
in the touch of a hand.
And make the ordinary come alive for them.
The extraordinary will take care of itself.” – William Martin

These things are the number 1’s you should look out for.
